My Baby Boy

I don't have the time or desire to make a fancy post today, just need to spend the time caring for my boy. And spoiling him when I can. Who, at the moment, is snoring away. But at least he's home, with no further damage.

We spent 3 days in the Kamloops hospital, and tonight I'l make cheeseburgers and fries for dinner, which he has been longing for. For some reason, everyone who's in the hospital wants either burgers and fries when they get out or pizza, its almost a psychological thing. Even I did, & I wasn't the one in the bed!

When your child is hurt......your world can come to a sudden stop.

My son's guardian angels got together and worked extra hard on sunday afternoon, they couldn't keep his neck from breaking when he rode his bike off a drop, but they kept him from injuring his spinal cord and becoming parapalegic, and we will be forever thankful, and mindful of how many things we take for granted.

What is unconditional love?

A Mother's Unconditional love......how can something so beautiful cause so much pain?

Today is the day.

But, a thanks for those who have helped me get to this point, a point that I thought would never come, and to them, and paraphrased from Celine Dion, the following:

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the wrong that you made right
For all the support I found in you
I'll be forever thankful

You're the ones who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the ones who saw me through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You said no star was out of reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am

Because you cared

I can't get the hang of arranging these pictures properly, have to keep trying I guess. The last two days have been beautiful, spring in the air type of days. Days where you want to be outside even though you can't do much because there's still snow over the gardens and most of the yard. But, Trevor made a path to the trampoline where he and a friend bounced and talked their guy talk. They also climb up on the roof where there's no snow and sit and talk, or shoot pellets at trees. And there's always the garage, with the ping-pong table.....Gerry was at work so the kids and I played, and played, and laughed, and played some more. Trevor was the victorious one. I still didn't want to go in, even after taking Dusty for a walk, so I gathered my cross-stitch work and sat, in the lawn chair, on a small patch of grass with snow all around.

These are my babies, Blue, Possum and Dusty. Blue likes to be around people but will not allow himself to sit on our laps, Dusty just wants to please me, just like a dog, and Possum acts snobby, is moody, but loves to cuddle up, especially on the kids pillows while they're sleeping. Blue will sit up on a chair and attack Possum's tail when he walks by, they do not like each other but they usually tolerate each other. Until Possum has enough and turns on him. And cats are most definitely not colour-blind, because Blue will always find a black area to lie on, usually the kids' backpacks, sometimes the computer chairs, in order to camolflouge (did I spell that right??)himself.
Any why, oh why, can I not get my text next to my pictures instead of over top of them ???? :o

See how much its melted?

This is two days later!
The grass is always greener quote is by Erma Bombeck and comes from the well-known "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." She's got some great ones if you want to look them up.

The Grass is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank

Spring is finally on its way, the grass is beginning to show, even more so now, you can almost watch it melt. In fact, the cats it in front of the open windows and do just that. Yesterday I sat on my back porch in the sun and was actually hot in my Tshirt and jeans.

The Canada geese have come back, and they can be trusted to know about the weather!
